"Lemonade for the Lawnboy" Event at Zinnia's
9:18 AM 0 Comments »The "Lemonade for the Lawnboy" Event was a huge success at Zinnia's and a fun afternoon was had by all who attended. There was laughter and applause as David and Janet performed two different readings from their new book. Everyone (about 40-50) clammered to purchase a copy of the book and have David and Janet personally sign them. If you could not make it you really missed out on a one of a kind event in Waseca. There was a w0nderful article in the Waseca Journal so if you missed that find a copy, you will enjoy reading about these creative authors, artists and producers. David Cook is a celebrated Minnesota artist who was gracious enough to bring about 20-25 of his whimsical, fabulous, excentric art pieces with him for all to enjoy. Truely a one of a kind showing. We are very fortunate to have had them both grace Waseca with their talent. Please enjoy viewing pictures from the event.
The above lawnmower will be used as a prop in the production of the musical "Lemonade for the Lawnboy", which I am sure will be on Broadway in New York someday. It is already in prorgress and will most likely start out at the Plymouth theatre where the "Church Basement Ladies" has already been running for many years. The lawnmower, created by David..is truely an amazing piece of art.

Charity, Robin and myself at the event....we all had many laughs and made new memories. We were all joined by many special friends and relatives for the event.
Tami the owner of Zinnia's was so kind to ask me to do a small art debut of my "Shoe Art" and "African Artwork" seen above and below. I had so many wonderful compliments and encourgement to go forward with my love for art. It is still on display at Zinnia's.
