We always think that a Patriotic Theme is a great tribute to our Military and Veterans

Charity's talent this year was the harmonica....I am not sure what she played?? I think if was Jingle Bells...but we all loved it !!!

Grandpa Joe's flag and the original dollar bill called "The Blood Brother Dollar Bill" which he had about 30 other young paratroopers sign and they all put their blood together and then put a spot of it on the dollar bill just before they jumped at night over the Rhine River in WWII. Grandpa Joe was wounded and received the Purple Heart most of his commerads never made it. So we honored Granpa Joe by taking his flag with us on the Sailboat in the Boat Parade......we did not take 1st placed this year we were sadly beat out by our Pirate Friends the Duke and Dutchess of Earle !!!

Well another year of fun on the 4th of July !!! Memories oh could we tell you about the memories that we make be it Good or Bad.....it is all in the mix and we love it ! We start out with whoever can come the night before which is usually just our own crew and get all pyched up about the "Boat Parade" our "Talent" for the shoreline or any other crazy games we may play. Then the next a.m. it is up and breakfast on the deck....and watch the "Annual Lake Run/Walk" which we all know that we SHOULD do but don't. We set on the deck and cheer on everyone who IS doing it. What fun. This year we thoroughly enjoyed the bike path and especially little Miss Ally Sienna who loves to have Grandpa Dave stroller her down the path to the swings. Everyone pitches in and helps get things ready and when everyone arrives it is total insanity until it ends with the "Spectacular Fireworks" over the lake. Most of the time the A Team is too tired to watch the fun but hopefully next year they will make it. Anyhow these are some special pics of the 4th.
